Grappille

Led by famous sommelier Xavier Thuizat—Burgundy-born and winner of both Meilleur Sommelier de France and Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2022—Grappille is a wine bar within the Villeroy hotel and members’ club, shaped by his curiosity-driven, unpretentious approach to discovery. Known for championing young growers alongside established domaines, Thuizat builds a list that is both terroir-led and exploratory.

The space itself is intimate and quietly elegant, designed for relaxed, thoughtful drinking. Non-members may visit in the evenings only. Each month, a “blind bottle” is poured by the glass, served with the bottle covered so guests can taste and guess its identity—a simple, playful feature that reflects the spirit of the place.
