Opened in 1964 on rue du Mail, Chez Georges is one of Paris’s classic old-school bistros, with moleskin banquettes, mirrors, white tablecloths and a menu that has changed little over the decades.

The cooking is traditional French, with dishes such as œuf mayonnaise, herring with potatoes, kidneys, sole meunière and steak with Béarnaise, followed by classic desserts, including tarte Tatin and baba au rhum. A great address for experiencing the Parisian bistro in its most traditional form.
