The name ‘La Maritxu’ combines Maria’s name with a Basque suffix that signifies familiarity and affection, reflecting the love infused into their desserts. After working as an architect for five years, Lucia has now dedicated herself full-time to La Maritxu, where they serve authentic Basque cheesecakes made with high-quality ingredients.
