Kiln is a Thai restaurant in Soho centred around a lively counter dining experience, known for its open-fire cooking and direct, unfussy approach to flavour. Now firmly established as a Soho institution, it specialises in dishes prepared in clay pots, woks and over charcoal grills, drawing inspiration from rural Thai and northern borderland cooking traditions.
The menu focuses on high heat, fire driven techniques, with much of the cooking carried out in full view of the ground floor counter, which is available on a walk-in basis only. A small number of tables are located in the basement and can be booked in advance.
