Wagyu Restaurant 1129 offers a rare experience of authentic Japanese yakiniku in Paris. Its signature “head-to-toe” tasting menu presents ten different cuts of Wagyu on a handcrafted platter shaped like the cattle itself, flown in from Japan. The beef comes from two producers — Joshu Wagyu from Gunma and Kyoto Miyabi Wagyu — and is grilled at the table in true yakiniku style. To season, a refined selection of accompaniments ranges from Guérande salt with black pepper and rosemary to wasabi, yuzu ponzu, sukiyaki sauce, and grated daikon. Chef Masahiro Ishida, with more than two decades of experience in Japanese grill cooking, brings precision and authenticity to what is certainly one of the best yakiniku restaurants in Europe.
