Opened in 2003 and named in tribute to the owner’s family, O Toupeirinho is a small, rustic seafood house known for serving wild fish and shellfish from the Portuguese coast. The stone-walled dining room is lined with old wine bottles, and the cellar holds more than 400 national and international references.
The menu focuses on straightforward, impeccably sourced seafood: salada de lavagante, sapateira descascada, navalheiras, percebes cozidos ao momento, camarão da costa and amêijoas à Bulhão Pato. Simple preparations, excellent produce and a strong wine list make it one of the area’s reliable addresses for classic marisqueira cooking.
