For more than three decades, Taberna Laredo has been one of Madrid’s most reliable addresses for straightforward cooking, excellent produce and a wine list with real depth. Rooted in local tradition but never static, the kitchen focuses on seasonal dishes prepared with precision and care. A true Madrid classic- unpretentious, consistent, and loved for its honest flavours and strong cellar.
Opened in 1993 by the Laredo family, the restaurant grew from a tiny original space into one of the city’s best known dining rooms and bars, while remaining deeply attached to its founding principles: quality ingredients, seasonality and close attention to detail. The brothers sourced directly from Mercamadrid from the very beginning, building a reputation around pristine seafood, traditional dishes and a thoughtful wine programme that continues to evolve today. Alongside the main dining room, the lively bar serves a wide selection of smaller plates and tapas, and has become one of Madrid’s enduring meeting points for a glass of wine and classic market driven cooking.
