Taberna La Mina

Opened in Chamberí in 1949, Taberna La Mina is a third generation family run tavern that has retained much of its old Madrid character. Seafood is at the heart of the place, with very good quality fresh produce, including live shellfish, simply prepared and served without fuss. The grilled prawns are a house classic, alongside pinchos morunos, boquerones en vinagre and well poured cañas. An old school neighbourhood institution that remains refreshingly straightforward.
