At Schloss Schauenstein in the fairytale village of Fürstenau, Chef Andreas Caminada has created one of Switzerland’s most celebrated dining destinations. Awarded three Michelin stars, his cooking reflects a “naturalist” philosophy, rooted in the local terroir and guided by the seasons. Expect an abundance of precisely executed dishes, many of them vegetarian, that highlight the region’s purest flavours.
Beyond the restaurant, Schloss Schauenstein is also a boutique hotel, with nine individually furnished rooms and suites set across two historic houses. A home away from home from Wednesday to Monday, it offers guests the chance to linger in the world’s smallest city, surrounded by the sun-kissed Domleschg valley—where gastronomy, culture, and nature come seamlessly together.
