Review

Once a simple country inn, Pitzock has evolved into one of the Funes Valley’s most compelling tables. It is run by Oskar Messner, a native of the valley, together with his wife Ingrid.

The cooking is rooted in South Tyrolean tradition, with local produce at its core. Familiar alpine dishes are reinterpreted with restraint and a personal touch, alongside seasonal creations that change regularly.

Part of Trattorie Premiate, one of my favourite Italian guides, Pitzock shares the same honest, ingredient driven spirit.
