Review

Lita, in the heart of Marylebone, is a modern Mediterranean restaurant built around open fire cooking, seasonal produce and the flavours of southern Europe. The kitchen is led by Kostas Papathanasiou, a Greek chef whose career has taken him through The Fat Duck, The Ledbury, Jason Atherton’s Social Company and, later, Restaurant Frantzén in Stockholm, where he was Executive Chef.

His cooking at Lita feels ingredient led, generous and precise, with a clear Mediterranean identity and a sense of ease that suits the restaurant’s neighbourhood setting. The terrace is also one of Marylebone’s loveliest places to sit on a sunny day.
