Review

A must-visit traiteur in Paris, Lastre sans Apostrophe is the creation of Yohan Lastre and Marion Sonier. Formerly at the Ritz and the Tour d’Argent, Lastre was crowned world champion of pâté en croûte in 2012 before opening this boutique with Sonier in 2016. Their signature pâtés—duck with pistachio and foie gras, game layered with mushrooms, or even seasonal vegetables set in aspic—are as beautiful as they are delicious. Beyond them, the shop delights with comforting dishes like oeuf mayo, Cordon-Bleu au Vin Jaune, or veal escalope with Comté, as well as excellent tarts with pear, apple or other seasonal fruits. Together, Lastre and Sonier have turned a once old-fashioned tradition into one of the city’s most irresistible gourmet stops.
