Despite the many Japanese restaurants in London, very few truly reflect the authentic Japanese spirit. Cubé is certainly one of the most genuine places. Owned by the same proprietor as Roketsu, it specializes in everyday Japanese culinary fare, such as nasu dengaku, agedashi tofu, or tonkatsu. What really stands out at Cubé for me, however, is its sushi, made by Edo-mae trained chefs with extensive experience. You can enjoy sushi here “one by one” at the counter or at a table, and it offers great value as well.
