Review
In the historic Cinque Vie area of central Milan, Confine represents the new generation of pizzerias — a place where design, gastronomy, and hospitality meet. Housed in a former ironmongery, its sleek interiors and glass-fronted kitchen set the stage for Francesco Capece’s forward-looking vision of pizza.
Alongside traditional classics, the menu explores contemporary expressions: pizzas fried and then finished in the oven, refined padellini, and boldly creative signatures such as the version fried and baked with Antico Pomodoro di Napoli, mozzarella di Bufala and 36-month Parmigiano Reggiano.
The wine program is as ambitious as the food, with over 500 labels, particularly strong on whites from Campania, complemented by thoughtful alcohol-free pairings such as kombucha and cider. The best way to experience it all is through the pizza tasting menu, paired with wines or cocktails — a format that turns a simple meal into a true gastronomic journey.
