Review

Cálong is a neighbourhood restaurant on Stoke Newington Church Street in East London, where Korean and European influences meet British seasonal produce. The cooking is paired with a short, well chosen wine list.

Its head chef Joo Won spent seven years as head chef at Galvin at Windows, where he maintained the restaurant’s Michelin star. He later launched Cálong as a pop up, shaping a style of cooking rooted in French and European technique, lifted by subtle Korean flavours.
