Le Bistrot du Paradou

Le Bistro du Paradou is one of my favourite bistros in France, located in the sleepy village of Paradou in the Alpilles region in Provence. Opened in 1984, it has become a beloved institution among local homeowners, celebrities, and iconic figures – earning legendary status over the years. Yet the formula is simple: a single set menu with daily changing specialties, such as aïoli on Fridays or gigot d’agneau and cassoulet on Wednesdays during the colder months. Advance reservations are essential.
