"Sublime Lisboa occupies a 20th-century Amoreiras townhouse containing fifteen rooms, each individually dressed, each carrying the original staircase, stucco and bay windows forward into something new. This is Lisbon without the usual city-hotel chaos. It’s set in a residential neighbourhood frequented by politicians, artists and journalists due to there being the city’s oldest garden, planted by Pombal in 1711. It is just above Avenida da Liberdade and next to the trendy Príncipe Real, Bairro Alto and Chiado neighbourhoods, so a livelier buzz is only streets away."
