Facing Megève’s church square, Hôtel Mont-Blanc combines village life with a more contemporary Alpine atmosphere. Rooms and suites pair soft wood beams with tailored fabrics and original artworks, looking either onto the church spire or the surrounding peaks. Details from velvet cushions, brass accents and crafted lighting, add warmth and a relaxed attentive indulgence.
The Chamois gondola is only a few steps away. In winter, it brings you directly to the slopes; in summer, trails lead towards meadows and high pastures. For a midday pause, Le Relais des Fermes sits above the valley with terraces facing wide Alpine views. Simple dishes, mountain cheese tarts, crisp salads with garden herbs are served at an easy pace.
Back in the village, Restaurant Le Vieux Megève offers a more traditional setting with stone walls, wooden tables, and the familiar scent of melted cheese. Fondue, brasérade, and local wines form the core of the menu. “Afterwards, the Spa by Clarins centres around an indoor pool, jacuzzi, cedar-lined sauna, and treatment rooms focused on face and body rituals. A quieter midday rhythm develops around the hotel’s Lunch & Spa offering, which combines treatments with lunch and access to the spa between late morning and afternoon.
The surrounding lanes fill gradually towards evening with cafés, small boutiques, and returning skiers moving back across the square. When evening arrives, the S Bar offers a quieter end to the day with soft lighting, deep chairs, and a short cocktail list.
