Review
La Grenouillère, two Michelin stars, lies in Pas-de-Calais near Montreuil-sur-Mer. Taken over more than twenty years ago by Alexandre Gauthier from his father, it has since become a singular culinary destination, about three hours from Paris. Gauthier’s cooking is deeply anchored in the Côte d’Opale, contemporary yet rooted in French terroir, and expressed with sincerity and freedom.
The restaurant, redesigned by architect Patrick Bouchain, also offers a few suites and La Maison de la Source, where guests can stay and extend the experience beyond the table. After suffering major damage from flooding, La Grenouillère reopened recently—stronger than ever.
