Review

An intimate Japanese wine bar in London Fields, run by Yuki Kaneko, a Japanese sommelier who previously worked at Noma. The small, lively space beneath the railway arches has just over 20 seats and combines Japanese home-style cooking with carefully sourced British produce.

The menu changes regularly and is deliberately simple, with seasonal small plates designed to accompany Kaneko’s distinctive selection of natural and low-intervention wines. It feels refreshingly close to the kind of small, personal wine bars you might stumble across in Tokyo, with Yuki often behind the counter and a relaxed, neighbourhood atmosphere.
