Review
The Quality Chop House is both a restaurant and food-and-wine shop, offering one of the most quintessentially British dining experiences in London, with a particular focus on exceptional steak. Opened in its current form in 2012 by the Woodhead Group, it occupies a historic building dating back more than 150 years, a legacy that still quietly shapes its character.
The menu is contemporary yet proudly respectful of the site’s deeply ‘meaty’ past, changing daily according to the best British produce available. That connection to provenance is further underlined by the opening of a butcher’s next door. Executive Chef Shaun Searley has led the kitchen since day one, working closely with Head Chef Nathan Chapman and a network of outstanding suppliers from across the British Isles.
The Quality Chop House celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019 and remains a place people return to for both everyday meals and special occasions. The Sunday roast is, in my view, the very best in London—booking well ahead is essential.
