Lupa is a small neighbourhood restaurant in Highbury serving traditional Roman cooking. Opened by Highbury locals Ed Templeton, co-founder of Carousel, and actor Theo James, with chef Naz Hassan heading the kitchen, it offers classic Roman pastas including carbonara, cacio e pepe and bucatini all’amatriciana. Other dishes include excellent slow roasted porchetta, salumi, grilled lamb cutlets or carciofi alla giudia. The simple dining room, with wooden tables and large windows, has the informal atmosphere of a neighbourhood trattoria.
