Founded in Lyon, France, in 1952 by Maurice Bernachon, Maison Bernachon has been crafting some of the world’s finest chocolates for three generations. Bernachon chocolates are a meticulous blend of 10 carefully selected cocoa bean varieties from regions like Venezuela, Peru, Jamaica, and Madagascar. Handcrafted without preservatives or artificial coloring, these chocolates embody tradition, passion, and excellence. The family-run business is also celebrated for its iconic “Président” cake, created in 1975 for President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. This masterpiece features layers of cherry sponge cake, hazelnut praline ganache, and cherries steeped in cherry liqueur, delighting food connoisseurs for over four decades. Today, Philippe Bernachon leads the company alongside his sisters, Stéphanie and Candice, continuing the family’s dedication to quality and tradition. Upholding a bean-to-bar philosophy, their Lyon workshop ensures every piece is crafted to perfection.
