Review

Opened in September 2026, Nakimushi is a new Japanese restaurant and ramen bar in Notting Hill from Chris D’Sylva and the team behind Dorian, EEL Sushi and Notting Hill Fish Shop. Set across three floors of a Victorian townhouse, it brings together two former Supermarket of Dreams residencies: Robin’s Ramen by Robin Kosuge and Urchin by Yuji Shimokawa Kelly.

Downstairs is a lively ramen bar, while upstairs the menu moves beyond ramen into a broader range of Japanese dishes, including robata cooking and larger plates to share. There is also a strong drinks programme, with Japanese-inspired cocktails, sake and a wine list particularly focused on Burgundy and Italy.

The interiors are sleek and warm, the atmosphere lively, and the cooking is bold, full of flavour and seriously delicious.
