Located in the medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, Spelt is a contemporary French restaurant by chef Raphaël Grima and pastry chef Marion Luque-Bouvier. The name comes from Grima’s spelt risotto with lobster, created while he was at Les 110 de Taillevent in London and awarded “Best in Taste” at Taste of London in 2017. It remains the restaurant’s signature dish.
Spelt has two dining rooms, with the upstairs room opening onto an intimate terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. The cooking is rooted in classic French cuisine, with a more relaxed bistrot menu at lunch and a gastronomic tasting menu at dinner.
