Located in the centre of Dolceacqua, Casa e Bottega is a small Ligurian restaurant run by Valeria and Fabrizio Bruno, with a view of the village’s medieval bridge, famously painted by Claude Monet during his stay here in 1884.Fabrizio is in the kitchen, while Valeria looks after the dining room. The cooking is Ligurian and Mediterranean, with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. The signature dish is the excellent spaghetti alle vongole, cooked and served directly in the pan.
The interiors mix vintage furniture, art and design pieces, many of which are also for sale. The couple also runs Vicolo Rosso 2, a renovated stone guest house in the village overlooking the Doria Castle.Closed Monday & Tuesday
