Set among the olive groves of the Alpilles, Le Relais du Castelet occupies a former hunting lodge reached by a dirt track just outside Fontvieille. The secluded setting, between the Abbey of Montmajour and Daudet’s Mill, feels distinctly Provençal.
The restaurant serves a single daily changing menu shaped by the seasons, with many ingredients coming from its own vegetable garden alongside carefully sourced local produce. The cooking is generous and rooted in the region, complemented by a thoughtfully selected wine list from independent winemakers.
