Bar FM is a simple, unpretentious bar on the outskirts of Granada that has become one of Spain’s essential destinations for top-quality seafood. Opened in 1985 by Francisco Martínez and Rosa Macías, what began as a modest neighbourhood spot serving sandwiches and stews to local mechanics has evolved into a benchmark for pristine fish and shellfish in Andalusia.
The kitchen works almost exclusively with seafood sourced daily from the Motril fish market, selected with an uncompromising focus on freshness and clarity of flavour. Much of it is served raw or cooked only briefly on the plancha, allowing the natural quality of the product to speak for itself.
