Review

Trattoria Masuelli San Marco is a quintessentially Milanese institution, run by the same family since 1921 and now in its fourth generation. With its chandeliers, memorabilia and warm hospitality, it feels both historic and homely. They say this is where the idea of Slow Food was born — and many claim you’ll find the city’s best risotto alla milanese and cotoletta here. A landmark of Lombard-Piedmontese comfort cooking, Masuelli remains a place where old Milan still lives on.
