Review

The first “standing sushi” restaurant in London is an outpost of Tachigui Sushi Tonari in Tokyo and is known by its head chef Hatano Yoshiki signature aubergine nigiri. Technically, it is no longer a “standing sushi” restaurant, as there are chairs at the counter; however, the fresh spirit and talent of this Japanese-run establishment are still present. The cost for lunch omakase ranges between £60 and £85, (£22- £ 38 for a lunch set menu) while dinner prices range from £80 to £120. I would choose Sushi Tonari for a more casual meal because of its popular and somewhat underwhelming location for this type of meal.
