Review

Pascucci al Porticciolo is located in Fiumicino, on Rome’s coastal edge, just a few minutes’ drive from the airport, where land and sea form a single, continuous landscape. It is a true temple of seafood, defined by the quality of its fish and shellfish, sourced primarily from the surrounding local waters.

The cooking is anchored in a deep understanding of the marine environment, treating seafood with precision and respect while allowing the wider coastal ecosystem to shape the dishes. Herbs, plants, and saline notes drawn from the shoreline and nearby hinterland accompany the fish naturally, reinforcing a strong sense of place rather than decoration.

Led by Gianfranco Pascucci, the restaurant holds one Michelin star and remains a reference point for contemporary Italian cuisine rooted in the sea, well worth the journey beyond Rome’s historic centre.
