Papadakis is an Aegean focused seafood restaurant in Kolonaki, at the foothills of Mount Lycabettus in Athens. The menu centres on fish, seafood and regional Greek products, reflecting the culinary traditions of the islands.
The restaurant name dates back to the 1970s, when Argiro Barbarigou’s father ran the original Papadakis, known for its fresh island seafood. In 1996, Argiro revived the restaurant in Naoussa, Paros, where it quickly became one of the most recognised dining addresses in the Cyclades. In 2005, she brought Papadakis to Athens.
Argiro Barbarigou has since represented Greek cuisine internationally, participating in global culinary events and being named Ambassador of Aegean Cuisine in connection with the Southern Aegean’s designation as European Region of Gastronomy 2019.
