Originally from Tyrol, chef Hans Neuner moved to the Algarve 18 years ago and has since shaped Ocean, his two-Michelin-starred restaurant at Vila Vita Parc, into one of Portugal’s most distinctive fine-dining destinations. His cooking draws on the local Atlantic terroir, interpreted through a personal lens influenced by years of travel and a broad culinary background.
The dishes are impeccably executed and thoughtfully composed, with a clear sense of place expressed through seafood, coastal herbs and southern Portuguese produce. Ocean offers a refined, immersive experience that reflects both the region and the chef’s quietly exploratory style.
