Menabò Vino e Cucina is a neo-trattoria run by two brothers, Paolo in the kitchen and Daniele in the dining room. Set outside Rome’s historic centre, in the city’s suburbs, it is well worth the drive.
The cooking is rooted in tradition and seasonality, shaped by strong ingredients and a clear respect for rural and working-class food culture. Dishes favour clarity over display, with flavours kept direct and grounded rather than technical. The wine list follows the same philosophy, focused on serious producers and bottles chosen with coherence rather than breadth.
