Review
One of my favourite fine dining spots in Paris is Maison Sota, led by Tokyo-born chef Sota Atsumi. With an impressive résumé that includes experience at Clown Bar, Saturne, Toyo, and Michel Troisgros in Roanne, Atsumi-san brings a subtle Japanese sensibility to his modern French cuisine. His cooking is deeply seasonal, reflecting the rhythm and produce of each time of year. Known for his exceptional ingredient sourcing, Maison Sota, housed in a beautifully renovated industrial space, exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere with wood accents, a central communal table, a long counter, and an open kitchen that creates a cosy yet sophisticated setting. To me, Maison Sota is one of the most underrated fine dining restaurants in Paris and truly deserves more recognition.
