Review

One of my favourite restaurants not only in South of France, but also in the world, La Merenda is a tiny, 20-seat gem in the heart of Nice’s old town. Run by former Michelin-starred chef Dominique Le Stanc and his wife Danielle, this charming, old-school restaurant has been a staple of the French Riviera. La Merenda showcases simple, traditional Provençal fare made from the finest ingredients the region has to offer. Dominique, who once helmed Michelin-starred kitchens in Nice and Monaco, has spent the past 25 years dedicating himself to preserving the authentic flavors of Niçoise cuisine. Whether it’s the peak-season vegetables or the time-honored recipes, dining here is always a pleasure.

Booking in advance is highly recommended and can now be done online https://lamerenda.net.
