Review

Inspired by traditional Mexican eateries, Fonda is the second and more casual restaurant by chef Santiago Lastro. While there are some “original” touches, such as baked beetroot tostadas, reminiscent of his background working in a New Nordic restaurant Scandinavia, the food here is convivial and traditional—something I look for in a Mexican restaurant and actually prefer over too much “creativity” in this particular cuisine.
