Review

Opened in 2016 in the heart of Seville, Cañabota blends the soul of a classic Andalusian bar with the precision of a modern seafood restaurant. Part bar, part tavern, part high-end fishmonger, it’s an informal sibling to the main Cañabota restaurant, offering top-quality fish and shellfish alongside beer, vermouth, sherry and Champagne. Expect croquettes, oysters, salads, and impeccably sourced seafood cooked with clarity and confidence. Founded by Marcos Nieto, an Argentine chef, together with Juanlu Fernández, Cañabota earned its Michelin star in 2021 and remains one of Seville’s essential destinations for seafood.
