Review
Sushi Kanesaka, an outpost of the legendary establishment in Ginza, Tokyo, offers an exceptional dining experience under the leadership of head chef Hirotaka Wada. As part of the influential Shinji Kanesaka “school,” which trained celebrated chefs like Takashi Saito of Sushi Saito, the London branch reflects the same dedication to excellence. Diners enjoy an omakase menu of around 18 pieces, blending very well executed nigiri with standout otsumami dishes such as steamed abalone and grilled Wagyu. While much of the seafood is sourced from European waters, the rice hails from Yamagata, ensuring a balance of local and traditional flavors. With impeccable fish quality and following the authentic Edo-mae sushi codes, Sushi Kanesaka delivers some of the finest sushi in London.
