Review
One of my favourite and certainly one of the best three-Michelin-starred restaurants in France, Flocons de Sel captures the true spirit of mountain gastronomy. Emmanuel Renaut, named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2004 and once sous-chef to Marc Veyrat, expresses a cuisine that is both refined and instinctive — rooted in the Alpine landscape, where herbs, wild plants, and local produce define every plate. The light-filled dining room, lined with natural wood and framed by views of the surrounding peaks, mirrors the purity and sincerity of his cooking.
Further up the Leutaz road, the restaurant is part of the couple’s Relais & Châteaux retreat — a five-star haven offering ten warm, wood-clad rooms, a tranquil spa, and the authentic hospitality of Kristine and Emmanuel Renaut. A place where Haute-Savoie’s nature and art of living come together seamlessly.
